Calls for 12/7/22

Good day fellow draftdimers,

The founder and creator of Draftdime has given me the chance to make YOU guys money off of some sports book betting. This is something new we are going to be trying out where I simply give you some picks for the evening with reasoning behind the bets. Feel free to ride along if you would like. The ultimate goal at the end of the day is the bankrupt the books and take what’s ours! Without further ado, here’s our 3 game slate tonight to get these articles rolling. Since this is new to the website we are starting with a couple of games that scream money, the more comfortable this gets I will start including more picks if need be.

  • PENN STATE – -3.5 -110 3U

Penn State can bang home 3-pointers at a high rate. With the team currently shooting 40.4% a clip from downtown, they can score at a very high rate. On the flip side of the ball for Michigan State, they have been very weak with their perimeter defense this season, giving up at least 70 points to opponents 8/9 games this season. This game has all the makings of a runaway for Penn State

Michigan State in their last 11 games are 3-8 ATS. They have not been a team to adept at covering, and with this game being @Penn State I believe the narrative will stay the same for the Spartans.

Penn State will also be coming out with a sour taste in their mouth. Coming off the heels of a double OT loss against Clemson they will be looking to right the ship with a big win tonight.

  • NEBRASKA +13 -115 4U

Nebraska has been playing very good basketball as of late. Riding a three game win streak with their latest win coming against #7 Creighton on the road they are looking to remain hot with this game against #14 Indiana tonight. A win out of the Cornhuskers is a bit of a stretch, but 13 points to cover seems like a slam dunk.

Nebraska also has an outstanding playmaker in Derrick Walker. With a double-double in the first two games of the season he is integral to the success of their team. He also hung up a crooked number of 22 against #7 Creighton in that big upset on the road. Nebraska is a better team with Walker on the court, who missed five of his team’s games. Through four games this season he is averaging 16.8 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists on 73.3% shooting playing an average of 26.8 minutes a game.

  • SUNS PK -110 3U

Suns have been great at home this season, posting a 12-2 record. With big man Al Horford out for the Celtics they lose a big defensive presence underneath which will pay dividends for Deandre Ayton.

The Suns have also only lost consecutive games only once this season, and with a record of 16-8 they don’t look to make it twice on the year. Phoenix is 14-10 ATS this season total, however they are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games coming off a loss.

With coming off of a loss against the Mavericks the Suns are looking to defend their home court tonight and right the ship by squeaking one out against the mammoths in the east, the Boston Celtics. Boston maybe looking a little fatigued tonight with this being their 3rd straight game away from home (@BKN, @TOR, @PHX).

Those are the calls for tonight. Here’s to a good night on the books and money in our pockets! Cheers!

Nick C.
